Appointments and Walk-In Advising Hours
Walk-in advising hours for current international students are available on:
- Thursdays from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Fridays from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Walk-in appointments will be limited to 10 minutes each on a "first come, first served" basis.
Scheduled appointments can be obtained by calling the OIA Front Desk at 317-274-7000 or by emailing oia@iupui.edu.

The OIA Student Advising Staff is available to answer your questions via email at iadvisor@iupui.edu iAdvisor is monitored Monday through Friday, 9 a.m to 4:30 p.m. Your inquiry should receive a response within one business day.
Using the iStart Self-Service System
International Students can access the iStart self-service system at http://istart.iu.edu. Through iStart, current students may request:
- I-20 Extension of Stay
- Full-Time Enrollment Exception Requests
- Travel Signatures
- Letters of Good Standing
- Insurance Waivers
- Replacement of Lost I-20/DS-2019
- Report OPT Employment
